There's so much to do here at Marchmans Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Ash Grove Resort Cabins And Camping is a good place for that; going for a hike along the Thompson Ridge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Marchmans Lake has to offer, you can camp       at Camp Rockbrook; Castle Rock is something you shouldn't miss while you're here. All through the summertime months here at Marchmans Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Marchmans Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Little River next to Marchmans Lake, and                  not far from Marchmans Lake you'll locate Long Lake which is a picturesque lake. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Glen Cannon Country Club Golf; if you need a location to stay Hampton Inn Brevard NC is a great choice. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Take a little tour to Dunns Creek if you're here at Marchmans Lake, and Becky Mountain is clearly visible from Marchmans Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Have a great hiking adventure along the Mullinax Trail; you'll meet a lot of folks from Brevard here. The high level of rainfall makes Marchmans Lake a rather wet place; the wettest month of the year is usually March, that's the one that rains the most while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. So much enjoyable stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains, not sufficient time. There are other sites here than Marchmans Lake, for example Noname, and Marchmans Dam is a pretty place. Maidenhair Falls is always fun to check out; a wonderful location is Mill Cove. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is bountiful here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
