on down to Mallard Lake Lower. There's perfect hiking along the Cooks Wall Trail; if you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Winston-Salem. For the period of the summer months, highs frequently are in the 80's at Mallard
Lake Lower. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while Mallard Lake Lower overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are
in the 20's. There's some flowing water close by, Beaver Dam Creek is a stream you can pop by while here, and Mallard Lake Lower is not the only location close by, Mallard Lake Upper is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful.
A fine place to camp here at Mallard Lake Lower is Tanglewood Family Resort, and Mallard Lake Lower Dam is scenic.

 | 16 miles away Hwy 772 access as been roped off with No-Trespassing signs. This access is used a lot during the summer months, but evidently it is private property or someone is confused.
