Ammons Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to, and Lu-Tom Acres Lake Dam is a delightful place. Dry warm beds await you at Country Hearth Inn Knightdale; Neuse River has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by. Summertime at Lu-Tom Acres Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Beaverdam Lake

Beaverdam Lake is really a part of Falls Lake. It is approximately fifteen minutes north of the I-540 beltway on Highway 50. Beaverdam Lake is separated from the main lake by a partial dam and bridge. It is approximately 500 acres in size.
Beaverdam Lake is restricted; no gasoline engines are allowed. This makes it a great place for kayaks, canoes, sailboats and electric-motor propelled boats. It has a very nice concrete boat ramp and adjacent dock, and has a very large parking lot. Adjacent to the boat launching ramp is a nice sand beach with floats delineating the swimming area and a small pavilion.

This is a very nice quiet clean campground, my family and I really enjoy camping there. The staff is friendly there is a nice pond for fishing and great swimming pool. We only live 30 miles from the campground
but always nice just to get away no matter how far you go.
