An out of the ordinary thing to explore near Loves Lake is Loves Pond Dam; why not take a refreshing hike along the Run Trail. Summer at Loves Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Loves Lake are in the 20's. This lake       is so wonderful. Loves Lake is not far at all from Mount Airy; Loves Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Pioneer Village Family Campground is a fine local campground. You'll wish for                  more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things at Loves Lake. Drift down the rapids of Dan River in a kayak, and do take a hike on the Cooks Wall Trail.
