All the water falling down from the sky makes Loves Lake a wet location; May is the wettest month with most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. Loves Lake is right by the Moores Knob Trail; Loves Lake is not the only location close by, Cox Lake is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. Loves Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Homeplace       Recreational Park is a great location to camp nearby, and why not pop by Loves Pond Dam since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Pell Lake, and you'll possibly meet some folks from Mount Airy here. Quality Inn & Suites is a great place to get some rest, and hiking along the Cooks Wall Trail is magnificent fun. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Loves Lake has to offer, you can camp at Serenity Stables and Campground,                  and if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Dan River. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a tremendous time here at Loves Lake. After a long day outdoors Microtel Suites Mt. Airy is a good spot to spend a night or two, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Run Trail. High temperatures at Loves Lake all through the months of summer are in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's.
