Lovell Lake Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out, and camping is available at Oak Hollow Campground. Take a little trip to Fishers Branch if you're here at Lovell Lake; if you've had enough of Lovell Lake, Upper Angel Lake is close by. Near Lovell Lake you hit upon the Hanging Rock Trail which is a glorious hiking trail, and there are some tremendous       whitewater spots on Dan River. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lovell Lake a wet place; the month with most of the rain is July; February on the other hand is the driest.
