This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This spot, the Blue Ridge Mountains, has so much outdoors cool stuff. If the weather is great here at Lora Young Lake, you can go for a hike along the Mullinax Trail; Lora Young Lake is not the only site close by, Deep Woods Lake is a close by lake. Here at Lora Young Lake you'll probably meet some people       from Brevard, and hiking along the Art Loeb Trail is great fun. Some nearby water includes Bradley Creek, and why not camp at Ash Grove Resort Cabins And Camping while you're here at Lora Young Lake. If you need a place to stay Willoughby Woods is a tremendous choice. This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of French Broad River - North Fork; going for a hike along the Black Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural                  beauty of this area. So many exciting things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains, not enough time. Camping at Lora Young Lake is wonderful fun, Black Forest Family Camping is a wonderful local campground, and a great spot close by is Walnut Gap. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious close by hotel is Red Lion Bed & Breakfast, and the top of Crawford Mountain is easily seen from Lora Young Lake. Lora Young Lake mostly gets a lot of rainfall; throughout March this area sees the most rain; the driest month is January. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun things the area next to Lora Young Lake has to offer. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend French Broad River - East Fork, and you don’t have to go far from Lora Young Lake to catch a sight of the water at Lora Young Dam. Summertime at Lora Young Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the nighttime is a bit chillier of course, typically in the 50's.
