The Lagoon is not far from Long Valley Lake at all, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Dellwood Lake. This lake is so wonderful. People from Asheville love to come to Long Valley Lake, and after a long day outdoors Hampton Inn AshevilleI26 Biltmore Square is a great spot to spend a night or two. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up.       Playing golf is lots of fun at Municipal Golf Course, and a tremendous place for whitewater paddling is French Broad River. You truly have to fancy Long Valley Lake. The skiing at Ski Beech is great, and in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Swannanoa River. All year is a tremendous time in the Blue Ridge Mountains if you like the outdoors. Austin Branch is a stream that you may come across during your stay.                  High temperatures at Long Valley Lake during the summer months are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and night lows all through the wintertime for Long Valley Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Side Hill Trail is tremendous fun, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Asheville-Biltmore Square Mall. Man, is there a lot of cool things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Have a good hiking adventure along the Shut-In Trail, and Wolf Laurel is a great local ski area. Camping is available at Bear Creek RV Park and Campground, and popping by Blue Ridge Parkway is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. So many entertaining things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, too pleasant to be true. A fine place near Long Valley Lake is Stradley Cove. Lakes are perfect; Westerly Lake is a lake that's near Long Valley Lake. A good place to camp here at Long Valley Lake is R V Park & Campground, and going for a hike along the Laurel Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
