If you are in Buncombe county it's always a good idea to stop by Long Valley Lake. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Long Valley Lake is right by the Laurel Mountain Trail, and great skiing awaits you at Wolf Laurel. Do have a look at Dellwood Lake right next door to Long Valley Lake, it's a pretty lake, and this is a popular place for folks from Asheville. While staying at Long Valley Lake you could always explore Stradley Cove, and enjoy a round of

That right there is loads of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Blue Ridge Mountains has it all. Super 8 Motel - Asheville/Biltmore Square Area is a magnificent spot to get some rest, and if you come at the right time of year, French Broad River offers some great whitewater. The Side Hill Trail offers hiking at its best, and a fine nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Asheville-Biltmore Square Mall. | |

This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Long Valley Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bear Creek RV Park and Campground is a glorious spot for that, and you can never get enough of the nice skiing at Ski
Beech.
Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things near Long Valley Lake. There are some good whitewater spots on Swannanoa River, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Shut-In Trail. All the water falling down from
the sky makes Long Valley Lake a wet spot; most of the rain falls throughout July while October is usually the driest month. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains.
High temperatures at Long Valley Lake all
through the summer months are in the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Long Valley Lake. This lake is so
wonderful. Long Valley Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Parkway Lane RV Park is a delightful local campground, and don't forget to go to The Lagoon while you're here. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day
to enjoy all the fun things in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Austin Branch is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to, and don't miss out on a journey to Blue Ridge Parkway if you're here.
