A visit to Long Lake is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. The summit of Becky Mountain can be observed from Long Lake, and after a long day outdoors Willoughby Woods is a splendid place to spend a night or two. The Black Mountain Trail is a magnificent hiking trail in close proximity to Long Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Sunset Motel. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
Having a good time at Long Lake is simple. In the

| | event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little River. Long Lake usually gets a large amount of rain; through the month of March you get the most rain around here; the driest month is January. Near Long Lake you discover the Art Loeb Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail; if you came to camp Black Forest Family Camping is a tremendous site to do that.

keep you coming back repeatedly. There is a wonderful hiking trail close to Long Lake called the Mullinax Trail; a journey to Connestee Falls will fill your spirit with fine feelings. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains,
you might not ever want to go back home again. For you golfers we recommend nearby Glen Cannon Country Club Golf; a delightful place for whitewater paddling is French Broad River - East Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Why not explore
Slick Rock Mountain Dam since you're here, and Atagahi Lake is a great lake close by.
Yeah, come up here to the Blue Ridge Mountains for a brilliant time. There's so much to do here at Long Lake that you need to camp here for
a while, Ash Grove Resort Cabins And Camping is a splendid place for that, and since you're here, you could stop at Ibby Creek. People from Brevard love to come to Long Lake, and some exciting geology is available here, Castle Rock
is right here. For the period of the warm days of summer at Long Lake highs are usually in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are generally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Long Lake are in the 20's.
