Here at Long Lake you'll almost certainly meet some people from New Bern; you can stay the night at Paul's Park and Boat Ramp. Nearby lakes? Sure, Lake Ellis Simon is in the vicinity of Long Lake, and Holiday Inn HAVELOCK is a perfect location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. | | Inn And Suites Havelock is a great location to spend a night or two. Long Lake is a wet place that gets a lot of rainfall; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is October. If only every spot had this much outdoors fun things, what a great earth it would be. Gum Swamp is an out of the ordinary swamp next to Long Lake. a hike along the Neusiok Trail. During the warmest time of the year here at Long Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 70's. High temperatures through
the wintertime are normally in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Long Lake plunge into the 30's.
