What a nice lake Long Lake is. A wonderful nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Havelock, Nc; camping at Long Lake is great fun, Goose Creek Family Resort is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Long Lake is not far at all from New Bern. Lakes? Sure, Little Lake is in the neighborhood. Havelock-Days Inn is a glorious spot to get some rest, and there are great places to explore along the Neusiok Trail.

| | came for an overnight stay Paul's Park and Boat Ramp is a magnificent location to camp. That right there is plenty already, but it continues; Long Lake has it all. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Long Lake reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 70's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 50's; overnight lows all through the wintertime for Long Lake tend to be in the 30's.
