You could also go to Tandon Lake while you're here at Linville Lake; it's close by; going for a hike along the Cooks Wall Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Linville Lake gets a lot of water; through the month of July you get the most rain around here while February is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
