This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Yadkin River. Lakes are glorious; Forest Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Lingle Lake. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Lexington is a brilliant site to spend a night or two, and Tanglewood Family Resort is a fine campground nearby. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Lingle Lake. If you came for an overnight       stay Thousand Trails is a great location to camp, and there are some good whitewater spots on South Yadkin River. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Lingle Lake; the overnight is quite cooler of course, ordinarily in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Lingle Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. At Lingle Lake you always meet someone from Lexington-Thomasville, and you're in all probability                  hooked on lakes, Craver Lake is one of those nearby. A wonderful nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites LEXINGTON NW-THE VINEYARD, and while you're here, you could stop by Dunkers Creek. Lingle Lake is a reasonably wet place generally with lots of precipitation; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and November is the month with the least moisture.
