Going for a hike on the Group Camp Trail is always a fine adventure, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on Upper Little River. This lake is so wonderful. People from Fayetteville love to come to Lewis Lake; if you've had enough of Lewis Lake, Bakers Pond is nearby. Through the warmest time of the year       here at Lewis Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Lewis Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cape Fear; Spring Lake/Fort Bragg Super 8 Motel is a splendid location to get some rest.
