In North Carolina there are many beautiful lakes, Leonhart Lake is one of them. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 60's to Leonhart Lake; the overnight is somewhat chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Leonhart Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains. location to spend a night or two. Lots of rainfall falls at Leonhart Lake; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Johns River,
and Leonhart Lake is not the only spot close by, Noname is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Yancey Ridge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; if you're looking for some
flowing water? Try East Prong Hunting Creek. Yeah, come here to Leonhart Lake for a pleasant time. Camping is available at Caretakers Cottage, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Pine Mountain Golf Course is
nearby. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. People from Hickory-Morganton-Lenoir love to come to Leonhart Lake, unsurprisingly you could also visit Morganton Watershed Lake while you're here; it's not far at all.
