Do stop by Leonhart Lake while you're in this part of North Carolina. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Quality Inn Morganton, and Leonhart Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Playmore Beach Campground is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Man, is there lots of entertaining stuff to do right next door to Leonhart Lake. There's so much to do here at Leonhart Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Caretakers

If you need a spot to stay Sleep Inn Morganton is a magnificent choice, and in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Johns River. arrives with high temperatures in the 60's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's; night lows during the wintertime for Leonhart Lake tend to be in the 10's.
This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Take a hike on the Yancey Ridge Trail, and whitewater paddling is nice on Wilson
Creek. Leonhart Lake is a wet spot that gets a large amount of rainfall; May is the wettest month with most rain while January is typically the driest month.
These mountains rock, just look at all the cool stuff to do in the Blue
Ridge Mountains. Golf can be played at Pine Mountain Golf Course, and Leonhart Dam is a place that is in the neighborhood of Leonhart Lake.
