After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Wilkesboro is a good place to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Laws Pond that you need to camp here for a while, W Kerr Scott Dam and Reservoir is a glorious location for that. And that's not all there is to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The panorama of wonderful Mars Mountain near Laws Pond is fine; if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can       always go whitewater paddling on Elk Creek. Laws Pond Dam is a spot that is right next door to Laws Pond, and Laws Pond is not far at all from North Wilkesboro. Laws Pond is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The high level of precipitation makes Laws Pond a rather wet site; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is January. If you came to camp Rider's Roost is a good                  site to do that; Big Warrior Creek is near Laws Pond and is always a diversion to explore. Throughout the summer here at Laws Pond, high temperatures generally get into the 70's. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. Highs during the winter are ordinarily in the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Laws Pond temperatures sink to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn Express WILKESBORO is a splendid place to get some rest, and a striking lake like W Kerr Scott Reservoir is a brilliant site to stop at. So many entertaining things to do here at Laws Pond, too delightful to be true. A fine spot for whitewater paddling near Laws Pond is Reddies River, and Walsh Fishing Lake is a splendid lake nearby.
