Camping at Camp Rockbrook is always a magnificent experience; do put some time aside to spend at Dodsworth Spring while you're here at Laurel Lake. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Laurel Lake. Rodeway Inn Brevard is a good spot to get some rest; if you get bored of Laurel Lake you could also go to close by Laurel Falls Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Getting to Brackens Creek from Laurel       Lake is uncomplicated, and Laurel Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Gwynn Valley is a perfect local campground. Laurel Lake usually gets lots of precipitation; March is the wettest month with most rain while October is generally the driest month. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Brevard, Nc is a good place to spend a night or two; Laurel Lake is not the only spot close by, Mitchums Lake is a close by lake.                  That right there is loads of cool things already but it goes on, the Blue Ridge Mountains has it all. There's whitewater on Davidson River for all you adrenaline people, and this is a popular spot for folks from Brevard. This lake is so wonderful. Burl Mountain is clearly visible from Laurel Lake, and there's wonderful hiking along the Art Loeb Trail. Laurel Lake Dam is worth taking a look at if you're here, and don't leave Laurel Lake without first going for a hike along the Black Mountain Trail. Laurel Lake is one of the lakes here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. A trip to Chestnut Gap is always fun; if you're here and you like golf, you can stop by Connestee Falls Golf Club. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things at Laurel Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Laurel Lake; Buck Spring Trail is a great local trail. Summertime at Laurel Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's.
