Laurel Lake is a nice lake to visit. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things near Laurel Lake. Take a side trip to Burnett Branch; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Toe River - South. Laurel Lake is one of the lakes here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A tremendous place to pop by in close proximity to Laurel Lake is Bearwallow Gap, and Catawba

| | River - North Fork has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. Through the warm months at Laurel Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 60's. Through the wintertime highs are typically in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Laurel Lake. Going for a hike on the Stamping Ground Trail is always a splendid adventure, and at Buckner Dam near Laurel Lake there are some attention-grabbing things to see. This lake | |

is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Super 8 Motel - Black Mountain/Asheville is a perfect choice, and Crabtree Falls is always fun to check out. There's so much to do here at Laurel Lake that you need to camp here for
a while, Spruce Pine Campground is a wonderful site for that, and close by you locate the Red Fork Falls Trail which is a good hiking trail. And if that's not enough there's loads more exciting stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Crabtree Mountain is simple to spot from Laurel Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Marion. Deer Park Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by; you can stay the night at Blue Ridge Gemstone Mine and Campground.
What a place this is for outdoors folks. This lake is so wonderful. The Bald Mountain Trail is a brilliant hiking trail near Laurel Lake, and enjoy a round of golf at Grassy Creek Golf & Country Club. Laurel Lake is a relatively wet
place frequently with a large amount of rainfall; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture.
