After a long day outdoors Best Western Coastline Inn is a delightful site to spend a night or two; if you get bored of The Lake you could also stop at close by Penderlea Lake. Through the warm months here at The Lake, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in       the 30's to The Lake. The high level of rainfall makes The Lake a quite wet place; July is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is October. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything The Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lake Leamon Campground; don't leave The Lake without first going for a hike along the History Trail. There's some flowing water close by, Cypress Creek is a stream you can explore while you're                  here, and there's great hiking along the Tarheel Trail. The Lake is a good location to visit for more than one day, Holland's Shelter Creek is a good location to camp nearby; The Lake is not the only place nearby, Lake Chapel is a nearby lake. So many fun things close to The Lake, truly tremendous.
