Go to Lake Williams if you want to go to a nice lake. Roanoke Rapids Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and why not visit nearby Black Duck Creek since you're here at Lake Williams. The good people of Roanoke Rapids like to hang out close by, and while you're here, you could also pop by scenic I F Rochelle Pond. Not far from Lake Williams you get some good water scenery at Rochelle Pond Dam, and the Summit Loop Trail offers hiking at its best.

A magnificent place to camp here at Lake Williams is Cattail Creek Campground, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Roanoke Rapids is a great site to spend a night or two. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Williams a wet location; August is the wettest month with most rain, and April is when it's the driest. in the 80's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are commonly in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Lake Williams.
This lake is so wonderful. There are some glorious whitewater
spots on Roanoke River; a magnificent nearby hotel is Jameson Inn Roanoke Rapids. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Williams is great enough to spend more than a day at, The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads is a great local campground; hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Williams; Dam Site Loop Trail is a glorious local trail.
