Jordan Dam RV Park and Campground is a wonderful local campground, and probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Morris Pond is just a very short distance away. On a great day at Lake Trace you can take a hike along the Campbell Creek Loop, and if you've had enough of Lake Trace, Lake Williams is close by. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! | | on Deep River. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SANFORD; an afternoon playing golf at Carolina Lakes Golf Course is always a bliss. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Trace a wet spot; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation. reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Lake Trace dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.
Why not stop by nearby Carrs Creek since you're here at Lake Trace; the Lanier Falls Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by. After a long day outdoors Jameson Inn Sanford is a tremendous location to spend a night or two;
you can take a little spree to Lake Trace Dam if you're here at Lake Trace. Near Lake Trace you discover the Northington Ferry Trail which is a fine hiking trail. The wonderful people of Sanford like to hang out nearby, and paddling on Buckhorn Creek is so much fun.

Smith Lake
 | 19 miles away Smith lake is a nice place to camp, bike ride and swim. I have 3 young children and they had a BLAST! We plan on going again very soon. Bathrooms were clean and out of some of the campsites I've been to this is the one I like....Nice area for hiking, running, mt biking. Also nice beach area for the summer.... |
