Get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Reedy Fork Creek, and if you're visiting from Greensboro-High Point, you won't be the only one. High temperatures at Lake Townsend through the summertime are in the 80's; the nighttime is a little colder of course, frequently in the 60's. After a long day outdoors Greensboro Marriott Downtown is a delightful place to spend a night or two. Much precipitation falls at Lake Townsend; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily July, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is April. Herman in the vicinity of Lake Townsend is a great spot to take a look at. There's so much to do here at Lake Townsend that you need to camp here for a while, Greensboro Campground is a great location for that. Do go to Hardys Mill
Pond right next door to Lake Townsend, it's a delightful lake, and playing golf is lots of fun at Bryan Park and Golf Club. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites GREENSBORO-EAST is a splendid choice, and why not a little side tour to Squirrel Creek.
