Lake Tomahawk is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. So much cool stuff to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, too wonderful to be true. K O A Kampgrounds is a brilliant local campground; do pay a visit to Blue Ridge Parkway if you're here at Lake Tomahawk. Man, is there heaps of enjoyable things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Miles Motors Campground       is a good campground nearby, and Super 8 Motel - Black Mountain/Asheville is a great site to get some rest. Be careful coming to Lake Tomahawk, you might not ever wanna return home again. Really nice skiing awaits you at Ski Beech, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Black Mountain Town Golf Course is in close proximity. For the duration of the summer here at Lake Tomahawk, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's, and during summer                  nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Lake Tomahawk are in the 20's. From Lake Tomahawk you acquire a good sight of Allen Mountain; there's some flowing water close by, Briar Branch is a stream you can check out during your stay. This lake is so wonderful. Brittin Cove is a glorious spot to check out close by, and paddling on Rocky Broad River is so much fun. Lake Tomahawk Dam is worth taking a look at if you're here, and whitewater paddling is great on Swannanoa River. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Lake Tomahawk. The nice people of Asheville like to hang out close by.; most of the rain falls throughout July, and October on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
