There is a great hiking trail near Lake Rugby called the Mullinax Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Big Hungry Creek offers some pleasant whitewater. Big willow Campground is a fine local campground; do explore Lake Rugby Dam if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Broadmoor Golf Links; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Ski Beech is reasonably near. People from Asheville love to come to       Lake Rugby, and a glorious close by hotel is Days Inn Asheville Airport. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Near Lake Rugby you hit upon the Side Hill Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail; Fairfield Inn Asheville Airport is a good site to get some rest. This place, the Blue Ridge Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up.
