What a site this is for outdoors people. There's so much to do here at Lake Powhatan that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Powhatan Campground is a great location for that, and whitewater paddling is splendid on Davidson River. Yep, outdoors cool stuff truly is abundant here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Suites Asheville, and some of the       water close by flows, like Beaten Branch. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Going for a hike along the Laurel Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; you can catch a glimpse of Glenn Bald from Lake Powhatan. Through the warm months here at Lake Powhatan, high temperatures generally get into the 80's with night lows in the 60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime                  are in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Lake Powhatan temperatures plunge to the 20's. Ball Gap is a nice site to have a look at close by, and if you came to camp Parkway Lane RV Park is a great location to do that. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff right next door to Lake Powhatan. This is a great area for people who like lakes. Bent Creek Ranch Lake is a lake in close proximity; at Lake Powhatan Dam in the vicinity of Lake Powhatan there are some out of the ordinary things to see. Take a hike on the Side Hill Trail; the panoramas at Blue Ridge Parkway will blow your mind. Lake Powhatan is a rather wet place usually with lots of rainfall; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is October. French Broad River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by, and at Lake Powhatan you always meet someone from Asheville. These mountains rock, just explore all the entertaining stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Very beautiful scenery and splendid skiing is what you get at Ski Beech. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes?
