The high level of precipitation makes Lake Palcoy a rather wet site; July is when you get the most rain here; October on the other hand is the driest. You can observe Fidilly Top from Lake Palcoy, and if you come at the right time of year, Pigeon River offers some great whitewater. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a tremendous time here at Lake Palcoy. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all       the amusing things at Lake Palcoy. There's so much to do here at Lake Palcoy that you need to camp here for a while, Hemphill Mountain Campground is a fine spot for that; on a fine day you can take a hike along the Palmer Creek Trail. There's always Lake Junaluska Dam to visit in the neighborhood of Lake Palcoy, and the skiing at Cataloochee is tremendous. Throughout the summer here at Lake Palcoy, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's, and the nighttime                  is a bit cooler of course, generally in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; night lows in the 20's for Lake Palcoy. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Great Smoky Mountains is so good! If you came to camp Creekwood Farm RV Park is a delightful site to do that, and if you've had enough of Lake Palcoy, Broyhill Lake is close by. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Lake Junaluska Golf Course is a good way to kill some time, and Lake Palcoy is close to Fulbright Cove which is absolutely worth going to. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Great Smoky Mountains. There are some great whitewater spots on Pigeon River - West Fork, and after a long day outdoors Lambuth Inn is a splendid place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Factory Branch is a great location to pop by; if you're here you can take a hike along the Asbury Trail. Have a delightful hiking adventure along the Caldwell Fork Trail, and a splendid close by hotel is Gem Motel.
