North Carolina has many beautiful lakes and Lake Palcoy is one of them. The Great Smoky Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Pigeon River is a fine whitewater spot near Lake Palcoy, and what would winter be without some skiing at Cataloochee. From Lake Palcoy you get a brilliant view of Fidilly Top; Trail's End RV Park is a great local campground. High temperatures at Lake Palcoy during the summertime months are in the 80's. For

In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pigeon River - West Fork; hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Palcoy; Caldwell Fork Trail is a pleasant local trail. you're here at Lake Palcoy; it's close by; why not camp at Hemphill Mountain Campground if you're here at Lake Palcoy. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Great Smoky Mountains. The Asbury Trail offers hiking at
its best; dry warm beds await you at Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Palmer Creek Trail, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Lake Junaluska Golf Course is
close by. Lake Palcoy commonly gets a great deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls during July, and October is when it's the driest. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. So much enjoyable stuff to do in the Great
Smoky Mountains, not enough time. Looking for some flowing water? Try Factory Branch, and close by you come across Fulbright Cove which is a great location to pop by. You absolutely have to love Lake Palcoy. An attention-grabbing
thing to check out close to Lake Palcoy is Lake Junaluska Dam; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel Waynesville is a good place to spend a night or two.
