Lake Myra is a nice lake to visit. After a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Clayton is a great site to spend a night or two, and Broadreach Summer Adventures is a fine local campground. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Myra a wet site; August is when you get the most rain here; April on the other hand is the driest.
Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Lake Myra get into the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer

temperatures drop down into the 60's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake Myra temperatures dip to the 20's. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Wendell Country Club, and if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Neuse River. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to come across
some great folks from Raleigh-Cary here, and Four Oaks Lodging and RV Resort is a great campground nearby.
