     The scenery at McNeill Lake Dam next to Lake McNeill is stunning, and Days Inn Raeford is a great spot to get some rest. All through the days of summer at Lake McNeill highs are usually in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are commonly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Lake McNeill are in the 20's. Lake McNeill is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Sleepy Bear's RV Park  
   is a delightful place to camp nearby, and Juniper Branch is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at. Lakes are glorious; McNeill Lake is a lake that's near Lake McNeill, and Scothurst Golf Course is a golf course close by.
You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lake McNeill has to offer, you can camp at Lazy Acres. Just can't get enough of Lake McNeill. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Saint Pauls, and since you might be
 
               in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Hodgins Pond. Lake McNeill gets a good deal of water; through July this area sees the most rain, and November is the month with the least moisture.
This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to stumble upon some nice folks from Lumberton here, and paddling on Little River is so much fun.

I can be reached at, yellowcheeks2001@yahoo.  We just bought a boat and don't know of any good size lakes to go to. If you know of a good spot, let me know....Good Lake for canoeing, but you have to stay near the creeks or geat a membership for 120 or so....

Smith lake is a nice place to camp, bike ride and swim. I have 3 young children and they had a BLAST! We plan on going again very soon. Bathrooms were clean and out of some of the campsites I've been to this is the one I like....Nice area for hiking, running, mt biking.  Also nice beach area for the summer....
