In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cape Fear, and camping is available at Fayetteville Koa. Little River is a brilliant whitewater spot close to Lake McKay, and camping at Lazy Acres is always a perfect experience. Lake McKay usually gets a great deal of rain; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and November meanwhile is the driest month. Through the summertime months here at

| | Lake McKay, high temperatures usually get into the 80's, and the overnight is quite chillier of course, regularly in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Lake McKay all through the wintertime generally sink into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. a good local trail, and if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SPRING LAKE-FT. BRAGG/POPE AFB is a splendid choice. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Fayetteville here, and Hampton
Inn Spring Lake Ft Bragg is a good place to get some rest. The Fish Camp Trail offers hiking at its best; Lake McKay is not the only site nearby, Lake Holton is a nearby lake. This place, Lake McKay, it definitely has so much
outdoors fun stuff. Good hiking is available along the American Beech Trail, needless to say you could also pop by Kellys Pond while you're here; it's not far at all.

 | Smith lake is a nice place to camp, bike ride and swim. I have 3 young children and they had a BLAST! We plan on going again very soon. Bathrooms were clean and out of some of the campsites I've been to this is the one I like....Nice area for hiking, running, mt biking. Also nice beach area for the summer.... |

 | 10 miles away I can be reached at, yellowcheeks2001@yahoo. We just bought a boat and don't know of any good size lakes to go to. If you know of a good spot, let me know....Good Lake for canoeing, but you have to stay near the creeks or geat a membership for 120 or so.... |
