It's always fun to stop by Lake McKay. Little River is a tremendous whitewater spot near Lake McKay, and let's not forget Gibsons Creek which is a stream that you may encounter during your stay. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Lake McKay. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 60's. Highs all through the wintertime are mostly in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Lake McKay. So many cool things to do here

| | at Lake McKay, too fine to be true. Take a hike on the Campbell Creek Loop, and in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cape Fear.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Lazy Acres is a splendid spot to camp, and lakes are such calm places, why not have a look at Kellys Pond. Camping at Lake McKay is tremendous fun, Fayetteville Koa is a tremendous local campground, and if you need a site to stay | |

Starlite Motel is a glorious choice.
This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Fish Camp Trail is glorious fun, and Sleep Inn ,Inn & Suites is a tremendous place to get some rest. Lake McKay is right by the American Beech Trail,
and folks from Fayetteville love to come here. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake McKay a wet place; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and November is when it's the driest.
