Lake Lure is a nice lake to visit. So much cool stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just inspiring. If you need a place to stay Fairfield Mountains Resort is a nice choice, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Buffalo Creek. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Bald Mountain Golf Course, and glide down the rapids of Rocky Broad River in a kayak. Camping at Lake Lure RV Park

The high level of rainfall makes Lake Lure a reasonably wet location; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; December on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Dam is an interesting thing to check out; paddling on Broad River is so much fun. For the period of the months of summer highs here at Lake Lure reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are regularly in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Lake Lure.
