All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Logan a wet place; the wettest month of the year is commonly July, that's the one that rains the most while October is usually the driest month. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. | | Waynesville is a great place to spend a night or two, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Cataloochee. You just must like the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Thompson Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best; Lake Logan Dam is beautiful. Don't leave Lake Logan without first going for a hike along the Art Loeb Trail; at Lake Logan you can see Round Knob. at Lake Logan temperatures dip to the 20's. Man, is there a lot of fun stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There's so much to do here at Lake Logan that you need to camp here for a while, Riverhouse Acres is a good spot for that, and Chambers Cove is close at hand, and is a perfect place.
