This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Take a little visit to Big Creek since you're here at Lake Logan, and if you've had enough of Lake Logan, Lake Logan is close by. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Super 8       Waynesville is a great place to spend a night or two, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Cataloochee. You just must like the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Thompson Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best; Lake Logan Dam is beautiful. Don't leave Lake Logan without first going for a hike along the Art Loeb Trail; at Lake Logan you can see Round Knob. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Lake Logan is so good! Lake Logan is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Hemphill Mountain Campground is a delightful local campground, and probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Camp Daniel Boone Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Pigeon River - West Fork offers some great whitewater, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Waynesville Country Club Inn & Starter. All the outdoors cool things near Lake Logan will keep you coming back repeatedly. If you're going to Lake Logan from Brevard, you won't be the only one. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Lake Logan. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 40's; during the dark hours in the winter at Lake Logan temperatures dip to the 20's. Man, is there a lot of fun stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
