Cove is a great place to spend some time.
If the weather is fine here at Lake Junaluska, you can go for a hike along the Palmer Creek Trail, and in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling
on Pigeon River - West Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Hemphill Mountain Campground is a delightful local campground, and if you need a site to stay Super 8 Motel Waynesville is a great choice. For the duration of the warm days of
summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at Lake Junaluska while nighttime lows are commonly in the 60's. Highs through the winter are frequently in the 40's while Lake Junaluska overnight low temperatures during the winter are in
the 20's.
While you're here at Lake Junaluska you can take a hike along the Asbury Trail, and Pigeon River is a great whitewater spot close by. Lake Palcoy is a nearby lake that you could visit; the summit of Fincher Mountain
can be observed from Lake Junaluska. Yep, outdoors amusing things to do are truly plentiful here at Lake Junaluska. Trail's End RV Park is a delightful campground nearby.
