At Lake Hughes through the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Lake Hughes. Lake Hughes is a splendid location to camp, Holly Grove Campground is a splendid location, and great water scenery is available at Lake Hughes Dam in the       neighborhood of Lake Hughes. A round of golf at nearby Brevofield Golf Links is a great way to kill some time; a magnificent nearby hotel is Lakeside Motel. Little Beaverdam Creek is a stream that you may encounter during your stay; you'll meet a lot of people from Raleigh-Cary here. The high level of precipitation makes Lake Hughes a relatively wet site; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and April on the other hand is the driest.                  This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. This lake is so wonderful.
