Near Lake Hills you find a golf course called Grandview Golf Club; close by you find the Moores Knob Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Winston-Salem is a wonderful choice, and let's not forget Mill Creek Number 3 which is a stream that you may bump into while here. This lake is so wonderful. The cheerful folks of Winston-Salem       like to hang out close by, and going for a hike on the Cascade Trail is always a tremendous adventure. And that's not all you can do here at Lake Hills. You could also take a look at Grandview Golf Lake since you're here at Lake Hills; it's nearby, and if you came for an overnight stay Tanglewood Family Resort is a great location to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Jomeokee Campground is a delightful local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Econo                  Lodge King. The warmest time of the year at Lake Hills comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 40's while Lake Hills overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. Drift down the rapids of Dan River in a kayak. Lake Hills sees pretty high levels of rainfall; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is November.
