It's a good idea to pop by Squirrel Creek, it's in the vicinity of Lake Herman; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites GREENSBORO-EAST. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Bryan Park and Golf Club, and there are plenty of folks from Greensboro-High Point here at Lake Herman. A wonderful site for whitewater paddling right next door to Lake Herman is Reedy Fork Creek, and if you need a site to stay

| | Quality Inn & Suites is a good choice. Summit Conference center is a good local campground; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Hardys Mill Pond.
Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff close to Lake Herman. Not far from Lake Herman you obtain some perfect water scenery at Lake Herman Dam; as expected, this is a pleasant region for people who like lakes, Lake Townsend is a lake close at hand. Greensboro Campground | |

is a good campground nearby. During the long summer days highs here at Lake Herman reach the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in
the 20's to Lake Herman.
Lake Herman mostly gets a good deal of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July, and April is when it's the driest.
