The wonderful people of Asheville like to hang out close by; there are other places here than Lake Evens, for example Ponderosa Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Echo Lake is nearby; near Lake Evens you stumble on a golf course called Black Mountain Town Golf Course. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains, not enough time. Visit Ellison Branch if you're here at Lake Evens, and after a long       day outdoors Comfort Inn Black Mountain is a delightful place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. At Lake Evens you can catch a sight of Black Knob, and great water scenery is available at Little Pisgah Camp Dam near Lake Evens. What a place this is for outdoors folks. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Wolf Laurel is in close proximity to Lake Evens. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you wish for                  a little side journey, try Cabin Cove, and Skyline Village Inn, LLC is a brilliant location to get some rest.
