Microtel Inn Franklin is a splendid site to get some rest; there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Stewart Trail. Yeah, come up here to the Blue Ridge Mountains for a great time. If you get bored of Lake Charles, you could also stop by close by Vitale Apple Orchard Lake, and Lake Charles is great enough to spend more than a day at, Appalachian RV Travel Center is a great local campground.       This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Lake Charles without first checking out Cedar Cliff, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can explore Lake Charles Dam. Lake Charles beyond doubt is in the middle of a picturesque outdoors paradise. Middle Creek is a pleasant whitewater spot near Lake Charles, and Gray Gap is beyond doubt a pleasant spot to stop by. What a site this is for outdoors folks. A lake close by is Noname, and on a great day you can                  take a hike along the Gage Trail. Lake Charles mostly gets much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is March; July is when it's the driest. You can never get enough of the nice skiing at Scaly Mountain, and going for a hike on the Hurricane Creek Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Throughout the warm days of summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Lake Charles; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Lake Charles drop into the 20's. Buckeye Creek is a delightful place to visit, and George Gray Mountain is clearly visible from Lake Charles. All the outdoors cool stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains will keep you coming back many times. In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cartoogechaye River, and wonderful skiing awaits you at Sky Valley. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might not ever wanna return home again. This lake is so wonderful.
