This lake is so wonderful. Lodge at Rhett Mill is a great site to get some rest, and if you have the time, Blue Ridge Parkway is a national park worth stopping at. For the period of the summertime, highs usually are in the 80's at Lake Bonclarken with nighttime lows in the 60's. Highs throughout the winter are typically in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Lake Bonclarken are in the       20's. This lake is so wonderful. Big Hungry Creek is a brilliant whitewater spot close to Lake Bonclarken, and you could always look at Mine Gap. All year is a delightful time in the Blue Ridge Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Dry warm beds await you at Bent Oaks; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Highland Lake Golf Club is nearby. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Not far from Lake Bonclarken you get some great water                  scenery at Bonclarken Lake Dam, and close by you discover the Side Hill Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains. A glorious site for whitewater paddling near Lake Bonclarken is Green River, and you'll find a pretty lake called Bonclarken Lake. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do next to Lake Bonclarken. Camping at Alpine woods RV Park is always a delightful experience. Lake Bonclarken is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Big willow Campground is a tremendous local campground, and Lake Bonclarken is a spot with many visitors from Asheville. If only every site had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great earth it would be. The Mullinax Trail is a nice hiking trail near Lake Bonclarken, and Dunn Creek is near Lake Bonclarken and is always a diversion to pop by. Lake Bonclarken gets a normal amount of rain; March is when you get the most rain here, and January meanwhile is the driest month.
