Lagoon A is always a pleasure to visit. A delightful site to camp here at Lagoon A is Kings Mountain State Park; an afternoon playing golf at Crowders Mountain Golf & Country Club is always a pleasure. Lagoon A sees pretty high levels of rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is November. For the period of the summertime months at Lagoon A temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the

| | 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Lagoon A.
This lake is so wonderful. Lagoon A Dam is pretty and it's next to Lagoon A, and the friendly folks of Lincolnton like to hang out nearby. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Catawba River - South Fork; if you're here, you could also visit charming Lagoon D.

Inn Bessemer is a splendid spot to spend a night or two. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do near Lagoon A. If you need a site to stay Quality Inn Kings Mountain is a glorious choice; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Kings Branch.
