     Upchurches Pond is a splendid lake close to Knapdale Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites HOPE MILLS. Yeah, come here to Knapdale Pond for a splendid time. Lakes? Sure, Hughes Pond is in the vicinity, and Sleepy Bear's RV Park is a fine campground nearby. Lazy Acres is a great local campground. The warmest time of the year at Knapdale Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures  
   fall down into the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 50's while Knapdale Pond night low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's.
This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of folks from Fayetteville here, and why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Scothurst Golf Course. Knapdale Pond is a wet place that gets a great deal of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally July, that's
 
               the one that rains the most; November is when it's the driest. Swamps like Glass Pond are fun to explore, and after a long day outdoors Days Inn Saint Pauls is a fine spot to spend a night or two.
Bogue Swamp is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting, and you can run the rapids of Little River.

I can be reached at, yellowcheeks2001@yahoo.  We just bought a boat and don't know of any good size lakes to go to. If you know of a good spot, let me know....Good Lake for canoeing, but you have to stay near the creeks or geat a membership for 120 or so....

Smith Lake

Smith lake is a nice place to camp, bike ride and swim. I have 3 young children and they had a BLAST! We plan on going again very soon. Bathrooms were clean and out of some of the campsites I've been to this is the one I like....Nice area for hiking, running, mt biking.  Also nice beach area for the summer....
