Kiser Lake mostly gets a great deal of precipitation; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while January is ordinarily the driest month. There's whitewater on Dan River for all you adrenaline junkies. The top of Ruben Mountain is easily seen from Kiser Lake, and going for a hike along the Cooks Wall Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. There are some nice whitewater       spots on Big Creek, and a striking lake like Camp Hanes Lake is a great location to explore. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Moores Knob Trail is magnificent fun; if you came to camp Moores Springs Campground on the Dan River is a nice spot to do that. For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Kiser Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in                  the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Kiser Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge King, and you'll discover a scenic lake called Witherow Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Quality Inn & Suites is a nice choice, and Rocky Branch is right next door to Kiser Lake and is always a bliss to pop by. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Kiser Lake. The scenery at Kiser Dam right next door to Kiser Lake is lovely; if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Cascade Trail.
