There's so much to do here at Kiser Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Moores Springs Campground on the Dan River is a magnificent location for that, and you're sure to stumble upon some wonderful folks from Winston-Salem here. If you need a spot to stay Econo Lodge King is a splendid choice; the Cascade Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by. If you come at the right time of year, Dan       River offers some splendid whitewater, and do explore Rocky Branch since you're here at Kiser Lake. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. If you came to camp Hanging Rock State Park is a wonderful place to do that, and you obtain a pleasant view of Ruben Mountain from here. Drift down the rapids of Big Creek in a kayak, and Quality Inn & Suites is a splendid place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. On a perfect day at Kiser Lake you                  can take a hike along the Cooks Wall Trail. The high level of rain makes Kiser Lake a rather wet spot; July is when you get the most rain here while January is mostly the driest month. Kiser Dam has pleasant water scenery and it's in the neighborhood of Kiser Lake, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Moores Knob Trail. All through the summer months at Kiser Lake highs are regularly in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's.
