If you are traveling by, why not stop by K and W Lake. Lots of rain falls at K and W Lake; during the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is November. Dry warm beds await you at Baymont Inn & Suites - Winston-Salem/Univ. Pkwy, and lots of people from Winston-Salem come here. This lake is so wonderful. The Cascade Trail is a great hiking trail near K and W Lake; Big Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by.

| | This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Moores Springs Campground on the Dan River is a great place to do that, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Mill Creek Number 3. There's so much to do here at K and W Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Tanglewood Family Resort is a good place for that; there are other places here than K and W Lake, for example Clinard Lake. Summertime at K and W Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. | |

Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at K and W Lake dip into the 20's.
If the weather is great here at
K and W Lake, you can go for a hike along the Cooks Wall Trail; if you need a site to stay Quality Inn University is a great choice. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff right next door to K and W Lake. In case you don’t
mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Dan River, and while you're here you can play some golf at Grandview Golf Club.
On a magnificent day at K and W Lake you can take a hike along the Moores Knob Trail, also K and W Lake Dam is worth stopping at while you're here.
