A delightful spot to camp here at Jones Pond is Cotton Patch Gold Mine, and a magnificent nearby hotel is Sleep Inn & Suites. You're sure to bump into some smiling folks from Albemarle here, and you'll discover a pretty lake called Long Branch Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. You can take a little journey to Jones Pond Dam while you're here       at Jones Pond, and a delightful lake like D and J Farms Lake is a good location to visit. During the warm months highs here at Jones Pond reach the 90's, and the overnight is somewhat colder of course, usually in the 60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Jones Pond plunge into the 20's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Jones Pond a wet location; through July this                  area sees the most rain, and April is when it's the driest.
