Johnsons Pond is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. The cheerful folks of Dunn like to hang out close by, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Crooked Creek Golf Club is in the vicinity. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Fuquay-Varina is a good place to spend a night or two, and hiking along the Group Camp Trail is splendid fun. Champion Cheerleading Camps is a glorious campground nearby, and not far from Johnsons Pond

| | you'll locate Pearson Pond which is a charming lake. Throughout the summertime highs here at Johnsons Pond reach the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Johnsons Pond are in the 20's. You absolutely have to have a thing about Johnsons Pond. Holiday Inn Express Fuquay-Varina, Nc is a splendid location to get some rest, and you can run the rapids of Buckhorn Creek. | |

always Slaughter Pond Dam to stop at in close proximity to Johnsons Pond. Get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Cape Fear, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Slaughter Pond.

Guys Pond
 | Guy's Pond is a great place to fish. As of my latest fishing trip on 1/25/2009, it was $3 per person and $4 per night camping. Also, 14 years of age and younger were free! This is a great pond. While you are fishing, you can watch the cows, and/or the horses. The pond is much better than Pope's Lake. They kicked us out of that lake on the same day as my trip to Guy's Pond. I rate this pond as a 10 and suggest anyone in the area looking for a fishing hole should try Guy's Pond.... |
