And that's not all you can do here at Johnson Pond. If you're a golfer then a glorious close by course is Lake Gaston Golf Club, and whitewater paddling is nice on Roanoke River. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Summit Loop Trail, and if you came to camp The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads is a great location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Dam Site Loop Trail. There's       so much to do here at Johnson Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Outdoor World Corp is a tremendous location for that. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can take a look at Dickens Pond Dam; Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Roanoke Rapids, Nc is a delightful site to get some rest. Johnson Pond commonly gets a lot of rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is April.
