A golf course next to Johnson Lake is Crystal Creek Golf Club, and if you need a site to stay Fairfield Inn By Marriott Arrowood is a fine choice. Johnson Lake is not the only place close by, Moody Lake is a close by lake; Staybridge Suites Charlotte-Arrowood,       Nc is a splendid place to get some rest. During the warm days of summer highs here at Johnson Lake get into the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 50's while Johnson Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. If only every place had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great world it would be. Johnson Lake is a fine location to visit for more                  than one day, Lazy Daze Campground is a fine location to camp nearby; a lake close by is Johnston Lake. Catawba River - South Fork has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot close by. The high level of rainfall makes Johnson Lake a rather wet location; March is when you get the most rain here, and April meanwhile is the driest month.
