Take a side journey to Flat Shoals Creek, and Holiday Inn Select Winston-Salem-Univ Pkwy, Nc is a pleasant place to get some rest. Why not camp at Hanging Rock State Park while you're here at J S Hedgecock Lake, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Scott Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then       we recommend Dan River; you'll probably meet some folks from Winston-Salem here. High temperatures at J S Hedgecock Lake through the warm months are in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to J S Hedgecock Lake. Lakes are good; Camelot Woods Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of J S Hedgecock Lake, and for you golfers we                  recommend nearby Hemlock Golf Course. Man, is there lots of exciting things to do near J S Hedgecock Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. A great place to camp here at J S Hedgecock Lake is Sunset Park Campground; the Cooks Wall Trail offers hiking at its best. If you come at the right time of year, Dan River offers some pleasant whitewater, and J S Hedgecock Dam is an interesting thing to check out. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Winston-Salem is a brilliant choice; perfect hiking is available along the Hanging Rock Trail. J S Hedgecock Lake is a wet site that gets much rain; the month with most of the rain is July while January is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
