This lake is so wonderful. Comfort Inn Winston-Salem is a brilliant site to get some rest; Hanging Rock State Park is a great local campground. The vista of stunning Flat Shoal Mountain near J S Hedgecock Lake is great, and there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the Cascade Trail. At J S Hedgecock Lake throughout the summer highs are in the 80's. All through the dark hours       of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at J S Hedgecock Lake temperatures dip to the 20's. Why not camp at Sunset Park Campground if you're here at J S Hedgecock Lake; in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Dan River. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Select Winston-Salem-Univ Pkwy, Nc, and whitewater                  paddling is fine on Dan River. At J S Hedgecock Lake you always meet someone from Winston-Salem; going for a hike on the Cooks Wall Trail is always a wonderful adventure. J S Hedgecock Lake is a reasonably wet place ordinarily with a large amount of rainfall; during July this area sees the most rain; January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. J S Hedgecock Lake is next to J S Hedgecock Dam which is a pretty spot certainly worth a visit, and a quick visit to Flat Shoals Creek is unquestionably a pleasant idea. This place, J S Hedgecock Lake, it truly has so much outdoors entertaining stuff.
