     Inver Lochy Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Inver Lochy Dam is a site that is close to Inver Lochy Lake; the summit of Calloway Peak can be observed from Inver Lochy Lake. This lake is so wonderful. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs usually are in the 70's at Inver Lochy Lake, and the night is a bit chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's; overnight lows in the 10's for Inver  
   Lochy Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Sugar Mountain; Lost Cove Creek is a nice whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Beech Mountain Inns is a wonderful place to spend a night or two, and going for a hike on the Laurel Fork Trail is always a wonderful adventure. Any time is a fine time at Inver Lochy Lake if you go for the outdoors. You can run the rapids of Gragg
 
               Prong River right next door to Inver Lochy Lake, and nearby Falls Hollow is a perfect place to go.
That right there is loads of amusing things already but it goes on, the Blue Ridge Mountains has it all. You need to take a look at Linville Bluffs while you're here at Inver Lochy Lake, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Daniel Boone Scout Trail. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Inver Lochy Lake. If you came to camp Grandfather Campground and Cabins is a tremendous site to do that, and Inver Lochy Lake is a place with many visitors from Boone. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Camping at Flintlock Campground is always a pleasant experience, and a round of golf at nearby Mountain Glen Golf Club is a splendid way to kill some time.
Inver Lochy Lake is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. A good close by hotel is Best Western Mountain Lodge At Banner Elk. Lakes? Sure, Grandmother Lake is in the neighborhood. Really splendid skiing awaits you at Hawksnest; there's some flowing water close by, Bee Branch is a stream you can pop by while here.
Inver Lochy Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the month with most of the rain is May while December is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Grandfather Mountain Lake, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Yancey Ridge Trail.

Not normally hikers, and middle aged, this trail was a killer. We had a great time, and the scenery was beautiful, but we were worn out. We ran into a copperhead, twice, once on the way up, and again on the way down. Apparently he was guarding his territory. The falls weren't as full as we hoped, but there has been a lack of rain in this area. The trail in some area's were a bit rough, steep, and dangerous, but at least we can say we made it....
