Intermont Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a picturesque outdoors paradise. At Intermont Lake during the summer highs are in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Intermont Lake. You can take a little trip to Intermont Dam if you're here at Intermont Lake, and you acquire a       wonderful sight of Bearpen Mountain from here. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on Thompson River; the Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail offers hiking at its best. If you need a location to stay Old Edwards Inn and Spa is a nice choice, and if you came to camp Westridge is a pleasant site to do that. Now, you may assume that's loads but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Intermont Lake                  is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Panther Ridge RV Park and Community is a splendid local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Sapphire Valley Resort. What a location this is for outdoors folks. You're probably keen on lakes, Hogback Lake is one of those close by, and since you're here you can play some golf at Sapphire Lakes Country Club. And if that's not enough there's a load more amusing stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. People from Brevard love to come to Intermont Lake, and some of the water nearby flows, like Burlingame Creek. Looking for something in the neighborhood of Intermont Lake? Sapphire Lake is in the neighborhood, and a fine location is Windy Gap. A lot of rainfall falls at Intermont Lake; March is when you get the most rain here, and April is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Toxaway River - Upper is so much fun, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Intermont Lake; Foothills Trail is a good local trail.
