This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Sapphire Valley Resort, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail. Intermont Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; through March this area sees the most rain, and April meanwhile is the driest month. This spot, the Blue Ridge Mountains, has so much outdoors fun things. A great place to camp here at Intermont Lake       is Panther Ridge RV Park and Community, and you don’t have to go far from Intermont Lake to catch a glimpse of the water at Intermont Dam. This lake is so wonderful. Greystone Inn is a glorious site to get some rest; Intermont Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Westridge is a wonderful local campground. Get your pulse rate up on the delightful whitewater of Thompson River, and Bearpen Mountain can be spotted from Intermont Lake. If only                  every location had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great planet it would be. If you're a golfer then a pleasant close by course is Sapphire Lakes Country Club, and a tremendous location for whitewater paddling is Toxaway River - Upper. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Foothills Trail, and Windy Gap is a great location to visit. So many cool things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains, not enough time. Burlingame Creek is a nice place to pop by, and Hogback Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. Here at Intermont Lake you'll probably meet some folks from Brevard. Throughout the summer highs here at Intermont Lake reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's while Intermont Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's.
