     Dry warm beds await you at Crestwood Suites - High Point, and there are other places here than Hutchens Lake, for example Oak Hollow Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Dan River. Lakes? Sure, Oak Hollow Lake is close by. Hutchens Lake is a wet place that gets a good deal of rain; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Be careful coming to Hutchens Lake, you might not ever wanna go back  
   home again. Oak Hollow Campground is a good local campground, also Hutchens Dam is worth going to if you're here.
This lake is so wonderful. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Oak Hollow Park Golf Course is in the neighborhood; Hutchens Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Humphrey's Ridge Camp is a great location to camp nearby. For the period of the summer highs here at Hutchens Lake get into the 80's with nighttime
 
               lows in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's; night lows through the winter for Hutchens Lake tend to be in the 20's.
If you need a site to stay Courtyard High Point is a great choice, and at Hutchens Lake you always meet someone from Greensboro-High Point.

Hwy 772 access as been roped off with No-Trespassing signs. This access is used a lot during the summer months, but evidently it is private property or someone is confused.

Thought I'd let you know this since it's only a few miles from my house. That's a nice place to get in the river, but evidently somebody don't like the general public to use it. ...
