The Blue Ridge Mountains rocks! What would winter be without some skiing at Scaly Mountain, and if you need a place to stay Sapphire Valley Resort is a wonderful choice. A splendid nearby hotel is Old Edwards Inn and Spa, and camping is available at Singing waters Camping Resort. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more cool things to do here in the       Blue Ridge Mountains. You're probably addicted to lakes, Richard Wood Upper Lake is one of those nearby; get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Norton Creek. Hurricane Lake commonly gets a great deal of rainfall; through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and October meanwhile is the driest month. Have a great hiking adventure along the Ellicott Rock Trail; you can run the rapids of Chattooga River. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Hurricane Lake you can distinguish Henderson Mountain; don't forget to take a brilliant little journey to Laurel Branch. At Hurricane Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Hurricane Lake. Hurricane Lake is one of the lakes here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
