Why not take a refreshing hike along the Shut-In Trail; a delightful location to camp here at Hoopers Creek Lake is Red Gates. This lake is so wonderful. The Side Hill Trail offers hiking at its best, and Bank Mountain is clearly visible from Hoopers       Creek Lake. Hoopers Creek Dam is a striking spot in the vicinity of Hoopers Creek Lake, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Ski Beech. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. You just should love the Blue Ridge Mountains. You're perhaps addicted to lakes, Silvers Lake is one of those nearby; Burrell Hollow is a good site to have a look at. Rocky Broad River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby,                  and camping at Apple Valley Travel Park is always a good experience. And that's not all you can do here at Hoopers Creek Lake. Golf can be played at Brookwood Golf Club; if you need a site to stay Best Western Hendersonville is a great choice. Ramada Limited is a pleasant spot to get some rest; lots of folks from Asheville come here. Man, is there a load of fun stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Wolf Laurel has tremendous slopes and a friendly staff. At Hoopers Creek Lake throughout the long summer days highs are in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Hoopers Creek Lake. From a precipitation point of view Hoopers Creek Lake is a pretty typical place; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily July, that's the one that rains the most; October is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
